This is a four week (160 hour) welder training course to prepare selected candidates to meet the needs of regional and local marine welding employers. During the fourth week, students will prepare for the American Welding Society (AWS) certification process. The course is intended to assure regional employers that a candidate possesses the skills and attitude to be a successful marine welder. This course is not a Guarantee of Employment, but provides great preparation for employment into the field. (Approximately 85% of rigorous on hands training and 15% class room instruction).
