Are your photographs boring and just not what you expect? In his class you will learn to fully utilize your camera and implement the tips and techniques for artistic composition. Award-winning photographer, Shirley Whitenack, will teach this class that will consist of lecture and demonstration with primary emphasis on on-location photography. Field trips will emphasize learning how to fully utilize directional light, determine proper exposure, exploit depth of field, and experiment with shutter speeds (including time exposures). Bring your camera, instruction manual, film/digital media, and your questions. Tripod is highly recommended.
Class wrap-up will encompass organizing and archiving images, photo resources, image critiques, and follow-up questions. Participants should have a comfortable working knowledge of their cameras. Expect to leave this class with the confidence to take control of your camera and create more dynamic photographs.
