The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) develops standardized construction and maintenance curriculyum and assessments with portable credentials. Industrial maintenance electrical and instrumentation (IM E&I) technicians are needed in every industry that uses machinery, from automotive assembly plants to computer manufacturers. Not only do they repair and maintain electrical instruments and equipment, they also install and dismantle them. NCCER IM E & I Level 2 covers:
